First Responder Memorial 2020

Lebanon PA, 8.26.2020: During a public workshop, commissioners heard a presentation by Bruce Daub, a former telecommunicator for the County of Lebanon, to erect a First Responder Memorial. He would like to sell bricks to raise the funds needed to erect such a monument to fire, ambulance, police..., and recognize fallen heroes who died in the line of service. He asked the County for land on which to erect the monument. Two sites were explored, the north side of Union Canal Tunnel Park and the new Department of Emergency Services, 911, and HazMat Center. An Eagle Scout was suggested to work with the group, as well as working with a nonprofit in the field to handle the finances. The project may take two years to conclude.
