Dual Cycle Efficiency derivation
We know that a gas power cycle is a thermodynamic cyclic process in which the working substance is a gas (accompanied with work output). Dual cycle is a gas power cycle in which there are 5 processes i.e., an adiabatic expansion, constant volume heat addition, constant pressure heat addition,
adiabatic expansion and constant volume
heat rejection respectively. The Dual cycle comprises of four ratios i.e., compression ratio, constant volume pressure ratio, cut off ratio and expansion ratio. This lecture demonstrates how to derive the
efficincy expression in terms of ratios of dual cycle.
