Get an Educated & Informal British Accent in 5 Steps

Here are 5 steps to sounding educated, intelligent and informal when speaking in a British accent. I call it Educated Estuary (I have invented this term btw) and it is from the South London/Kent area. Plus, I also have my way of measuring the strength of your accent on my Estuaryiser - watch the video to find out more!

Tracey Emin by the way, is a famous contemporary British artist. She was born in Croydon south London but now lives in Margate, Kent. In fact, you could say that she is Margate's most well-known resident. I have got an audio of her talking about a work of art - it's very interesting to hear her mix the educated RP with informal Cockney features. The attributes are below for the audio and photo I use of Tracey.

As this is a British accent tutorial, my step-by-step guide will ensure you go from zero to hero to sounding like a proper native speaker from the south east of England.
