30 Minute Pilates for Osteoporosis & Osteopenia Followed by Q & A

This week I will be teaching a Bone Building class for everyone. We need to take care of our bones as well as our muscles! A mix of both standing and lying exercises, it will be as challenging as any class I teach and safe for those with Osteoporosis and Osteopenia.

Important facts to know:
Bone loss starts from the age of thirty.
Known as the 'silent disease' it is estimated that worldwide, 1 in 3 women over age 50 will experience osteoporotic fractures, as will 1 in 5 men aged over 50.

The saying, 'Move it or Lose it' really does apply to your bone mass and the way to keep building healthy strong bones is through resistance work and weight bearing exercise. This Friday will be a 30 Minute Class to show you what you can do. Prepare for an unexpected challenge!

In response to the Coronavirus I teach a live class every Friday at 10am to keep people feeling motivated as well as mindful of taking care of their body at this time of self-isolation and lockdown. All the exercises are low impact with an emphasis on building core strength and flexibility.

Don't forget to bring your Pilates questions for the Q & A post class! This is a great opportunity to get those burning questions answered as well as get to know each other better. I'll answer as many as I can for you. Happy to do shoutouts too!
