Exercises for Osteoporosis by Dr. Andrea Furlan MD PhD
Dr. Furlan demonstrates 26 exercises for people with osteoporosis. The types of exercises are: Balance, Aerobics, Strengthening and Endurance (B.A.S.E.).

Below is the list of these exercises:
Chair
1- Hold on to a chair, stand up in place, raise heels up and down (4:34)
2- Hold on to a chair, stand up on one foot, then on the other foot (5:13)
Walk
3- Walk, normal pace (6:19)
4- Walk in tandem with one foot in front of the other (6:40)
5- Walk backwards (7:18)
6- Walk sideways (7:40)
7- Walk doing lunges (8:16)
8- Walk on your tiptoes and come back on your heels (8:44)
Bags of beans
9- Walk normal with bags of beans (9:26)
10- Walk in tandem with bags of beans (10:13)
11- Walk backwards with bags of beans (10:48)
12- Walk sideways with bags of beans (11:16)
13- Walk doing lunges with bags of beans (11:54)
14- Walk on your tiptoes and come back on your heels with bags of beans (12:23)
Step or Stairs
15- One step: Left foot up, left foot down (12:53)
16- One step: Right foot up, right foot down (13:50)
17- Stairs up on left foot. Stairs down on left foot (14:20)
18- Stairs up on right foot. Stairs down on right foot (15:07)
Chair
19- Sit to stand (15:30)
20- Sit to stand holding the bags of beans (16:26)
21- If you have a resistance band (16:57)
a. Pull band to both sides (17:13)
b. Around your back, pull them in front of you (17:44)
c. Under your thighs, pull them up and down (18:44)
On the wall
22- Push-ups, maintain straight spine (19:24)
23- Back to the wall, posture straight, squat (20:19)
On the wall with bags of beans
24- Back to the wall, bending the knees, slowly go down, maintain this position, move arms up and down. (21:16)
25- Wall angel (22:00)
26- Fingers walking on the wall (22:22)
