Once a year Aaron Franklin of https://franklinbbq.com/ puts on his World Famous, BBQ Event of The Year , https://www.hotluckfest.com/. Created by James Beard Award-winner Aaron Franklin, Guerilla Suit principal and Mohawk owner James Moody, and Mike Thelin, co-founder of Feast Portland, it is a DIY casserole of the culinary and music world benefiting the Southern Smoke Foundation.

Chef's Derek Sarno and Chad Sarno were invited to cook some of the game changing mushroom steaks they create, showing off the pressing technique. It was FIRE! "We came, we saw and we cooked some Wicked kick ass Steaks made of mushrooms"! In true BBQ vibes. They've been invited back for another year as the only plant based/vegan chefs at a traditionally all meat festival.
