Mental health and addiction in musicians and other creatives

Mental health and addiction sadly go hand in hand with music, art, design, fashion and other creative fields.

Musicians and stars like Demi Lovato, Lil Peep, Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell, etc are in the headlines, but they're far from the only ones struggling with mental health-- in fact, I think the MAJORITY of us in the creative community are dealing with some kind of mental health issue, so I wanted to talk about it and encourage us all to come together to help each other.

- Why we as a community of creators and fans need to look for signs of mental health or addiction in ourselves, our friends, and the people we look up to

- Why we have to stop encouraging self-destructive behavior in others, ignoring the signs of mental health, or making a joke out of it

- Why the way adam22 handled Boonk passing out during his No Jumper interview is a great example how we should address this stuff

- Some specific suggestions for anyone struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction or other mental health issues: how to find a doctor, how to find a medication that works for you (Note, I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice... just my personal opinion based on my own experience)
