Flight Barn Cleanup
After one of the busiest Decembers in quite a while, it was time to clean up our flight barn. This structure is the final step in the rehab process for the injured birds. The big rooms and the flyway allow the birds to rebuild their muscles and get their flying skills up to where they can go free. For a brief 3 days is was unoccupied and that gave us a chance to do some housekeeping by refreshing the substrate, washing down walls, cleaning up nest boxes, collecting owl pellets, and resetting the perches.
