Barred Owl Released Into Charleston WV April 15, 2020
On March 15, 2020 we released a female Barred Owl back to her home territory in the city of Charleston, WV. Yes, she is a city bird. A bunch of friends came out to see her off and it was a picture perfect release - including a swoop by a Red-tailed Hawk who flew in to harass her, only to be harassed himself by a flock of song birds while the Barred Owl left for home.
