The Stingray Nebula is Disappearing | NASA Hubble Telescope

A nebula is a cloud of gas and dust in outer space. Stingray nebula is probably the youngest planetary nebula. There is star known as SAO 244567 in the middle of Nebula. The Nebula was first identified as planetary nebula in 1989

Now NASA has shared two images of stingray Nebula. These pictures are more than 20 years apart. These pictures show that the nebula is quickly fading. In last 20 years, Stingray Nebula has changed shape. There is also dramatic loss of brightness. Such a fast rate of change is super rare in space
According to NASA nebula’s central star is responsible for its rapid change. This star is more than 10 times hotter than the surface of our Sun. But now it is cooling. It is expanding due to temperature drop. Stingray Nebula may barely be detectable in 20 to 30 years.
