Air Conditioner Outdoor Condenser Unit Not Turning On

I am on a no ac service call that warm air blows out of vents. The outdoor condensing unit doesn’t start up. I arrive at the house before the homeowner. I decide I was going to start looking around and see if I find anything wrong with the condenser. I open the control panel door and find the contactor switching contacts were sideways. Therefore I replaced the contactor switch. The homeowner arrives at the house. I tell him the contactor failed. Once I put new contactor on system. I tested operation of ac system. The house was 80 degrees when I started. When I left it was 76. The system was working and should keep this house comfortable. This was the original contactor from 1992.
