Don’t Water Your Generator

I am on generator maintenance and find water stains and battery terminals really corroded. I find the customer has been watering his generator with his sprinklers. He didn't know it was spraying into the generator so he will have to have the sprinkler head moved. Honeywell generators are made to be outside and keep internals dry from rainwater coming down on it from the sky, not water spraying upward from sprinklers.
