Scratch building a factory from cardboard in N scale for my N gauge model railway
If you're interested in scratch building model railway buildings, come and see how I made an N scale (1:148) factory/works building from card and some of the smaller detail elements that I added to make the building come to life.
I love scratch building with cardboard. I designed the building in Inkscape using textures from Textures Dot Com, and some Scalescenes elements such as Scaleglaze glazing and the roof tiles and cobblestones.
As well as showing my scratch built factory building, I include some tips on saving paper and getting crisp folds on tiny elements. Some of them, in N Gauge, are REALLY tiny! So if you're interested in how to fold paper for tiny scratch built buildings, skip to 14:14.
