Farish Class 31s arrive and some details finished - N Gauge Layout update December 2020

Welcome to my last video of 2020 and a look at what I have been up to on Chandwell N Gauge Model Railway Layout in December.

I welcome two new arrivals to the layout - the beautiful Graham Farish class 31s. One of the class 31s is in BR Blue livery, and the other in Railfreight Petroleum livery. These are both beautiful models and run incredibly well. Each of the Farish models has been weathered by TMC and really look like I remember them.

I have spent time ballasting the track on Chandwell Viaduct, and also weathering it. This is the first time I have weathered N Gauge Peco Code 55 track, and the first time I have ever tried to weather track using only paint applied by brush. I show how I managed this to good effect.

I also look forward to next year on the N Gauge layout. I have grand plans to work on the town station and I ask for some help with ideas for this.

Finally, I include a first look at my scratch-built pub, The Weir Inn. As ever, I am scratch building this building from card, and I think it is going to look superb on the layout once it is finished.

So please join me for my final N GModel Railway Layout Update of the year!
