15 Lions That Messed with The Wrong Animals

Even though lions are some of the most powerful predators on the planet, it doesn’t mean they always get what they want. Hunting in the bush is rough, even for these excellent hunters. If you want to see how lions sometimes fail, this is it, so let’s get started.

Crocodile VS Lion

A lion crossing a river is flanked by a hungry crocodile in this video, and after a short scuffle in the water, the feline escapes and runs out of the water without a scratch. A young male lion and a large Nile crocodile battle back and forth over the remains of a large buffalo carcass in the waterway of the Sand River in this video. The battle is fierce, because one-on-one crocodiles are no cakewalk to deal with, even for a male lion. A smaller crocodile is attacked on the beach by a lone lioness.

When the crocodile tries running back into the water, the feline jumps on the reptile’s back to bite its neck, and at this point, it doesn’t look like the crocodile is going anywhere, any time soon. When a crocodile tries defying a few lions, he gets stuck in a ditch, preventing the reptile from turning around to head back into the water. After a short scuffle, the crocodile returns to the water, avoiding injury. The two young lions in this video know better than to mess with this aggressive crocodile. Even though the reptile isn’t very big, the felines are inexperienced and don’t yet have the “oomph” to deal with crocodiles, no matter what their size.

Rhino VS Lion

These two male lions must watch their back as an angry rhino forces them to move away. One of the lions has a bad limp and can barely run. I don’t know if the rhino is the culprit or not, but he just wants them to leave. I think the message is clear! For some reason the lion with the limp sticks around. These cats are stubborn because they have a kill and are trying to eat there, but the rhino won’t have it, so he just keeps harassing them.
A male lion managed to catch a newborn calf and was playing around with it, looking unsure of what to do until one of the lions tried to grab it and decided to kill it.

The lions then tried to take down the other rhinos, but that didn’t work out as planned. Another huge rhino shows a pride of lions what he’s made of when he looks stuck in a water hole, but the truth is he slipped in there, hence, as soon as he walks out of the waterhole, he fends off one male lion trying to pat him on the back, and the fun begins, as the big and healthy rhino takes a run at the felines. At the Kariega Game Reserve, a ranger and her guests witnessed an extraordinary interaction between a pride of lions and a white rhino mother with her calf.

The lions were hungry, but lunch wasn’t delivered as planned, as zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest cheered for the rhino. The rhino in this video almost looks like he’s having a good time, standing in the open field, while a couple of lions try to get to him. There are at least five lions if not more, but none of them get close to the massive and powerful animal. The rhino is not alone, so this means double trouble for the felines, and from the looks of it, they’re not convinced this is a good idea.
