21 year old black Caspian gives birth to a bay filly

Marida Jannat foaled Tuesday, June 9, shortly after 6:00 a.m. She gave us a stunning, leggy bay filly with star, named Cascadia Amestris. The Caspian horse is a critically endangered breed with few foals born each year worldwide. Amestris is a special filly, carrying rare lines through her sire, and born from one of the highest priced mares in Caspian history. Jannat might not have many more foals due to her age, so each filly is a precious addition to the Caspian ranks. And Amestris will be registered with the Caspian Horse Society of the Americas (CHSA) and included into the International Caspian Studbook with the International Caspian Society.
