Aleah's first foal. A bay Caspian filly.

Cascadia horses celebrates the first foal from Aleah! She is a little miracle baby, born to an older teenaged maiden mare who didn't get into foal on two previous breeding attempts. She will carry on the Caspian breed. The filly is so tiny with such long legs, it took almost two hours for her to stand, and an additional 20 minutes more to get her first drink of milk. Aleah is a good mom, but didn't know what to do. It took several hours of training her to stand still enough for her foal to nurse.
