Patrick Cowden has held executive positions at Cap Gemini, Bertelsmann, EMC, Dell and Hitachi. As he witnessed first-hand how the business world often attaches more importance to profit and shareholder value than to people and the values that connect them, he is is on a mission to change that forever. The movement he created, Beyond Leadership, set itself the goal of mobilizing an organization's potential through deeper interaction between the people who work in it.

At TEDxRWTHAachen, he shares the story of how rewriting the rules of business can bring more humanity back into our work environments around the world.
