Our visit to Zaragoza as part of our Spanish Road Trip

A discovery of the history and culture of the majestic city of Zaragoza on the banks of the River Ebro in Northern Spain.

Our road trip has taken us from Basque Spain, through Navarre to Aragon in a day. We start by leaving our hotel , the Silken Reino de Aragón, and wandering towards the Aljafería Palace. We take a look around this Moorish Palace & Fortress, with it's wonderful Mudejar architecture, before heading off to the bullring.

Our ramblings take us through the heart of Zaragoza, discovering plazas, passages, lanes & streets before arriving at the Mercado, which leads us onto Roman Zaragoza.

A stroll from the Torreon de la Zuda, along the edge of the River Ebro, taking in the Puente de Piedra before heading onto it to glimpse back at the Catedral-Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar.

We take a look at Goya's links with the city before a closer look at Zaragoza's two cathedrals, that Catedral-Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar and the Catedral del Salvador de Zaragoza.

This leads us back to the Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, and a review of our visit.
