7 Facebook Live Tips For Success

I met with someone recently who has a growing Facebook Page, they have great content, and are trying really hard to grow their following.

They tried Facebook Live to show off more of their business and they made a huge mistake, that over 1000 people saw. I’ll just tell you that this mistake did NOT make their business look good.

And that’s why in this video we’re going to briefly talk about Tips for doing Facebook Live. I’ve done a couple dozen Facebook Lives. Some were better than other. I’ve also watched over 100 Live videos by small businesses. So I have a pretty good feel for what works well.

Let’s kick it off with what that business I mentioned earlier did wrong. When they started the Live video the phone was vertical and as soon as they started the video, they switched it horizontal. Big mistake! Because once you start a Live video on direction it won’t change. So over 1000 people saw a sideways video! Rookie mistake.

Before you start the video, do these two things:

1. Be aware of lighting
2. Have a catchy title

During the video you’ll want to consider this:
3. Get a Mic
4. Get a tripod
5. Memorize into and outro

After you’re done with the record, do this:
6. Double check for an missed comments
7. Update Thumbnail. You can do this by Editing the video

Live video is a great way to show off an authentic version of your business. It’s easy video content because it requires no editing! I know you can do it, give you’re self a chance to learn, and don’t be so dang hard on yourself. Okay?
