Cornell American Kestrel ~ Male's Lightening Fast Grab Of Prey Leaves Siblings Stunned!

Mom arrives at the window box with a small rodent and the Kestrel chicks all try and scramble to grab it. One male leaps over the others and makes the steal and runs to the corner on the left. The other siblings are still looking at the window not realizng he already snagged the prey! Regular time and slo mo continued. Look at how fast these Kestrel chicks are scurrying across the nest box!

One male attempts a steal while the two females watch from the side. At 4:12 the other male makes another steal attempt and is successful and runs to the right hand side. A female comes over to steal but she is too late as the male swallows the prey! These Kestrels have lightening speed which will propel them into adulthood with good skills for hunting and catching their prey! Thank you for watching!
