West End Eagles ~ TUG-O-FISH WITH MOM! 🐟 3 Fish In 9 Minutes! ENTIRE FAMILY On Nest! Tandem Feeding💕

The West End Catalina nest is special with the exceptional parentage of Thunder & Akecheta! Once again they blow away expectations! The eaglets are ten weeks old and yet, they are still being fed by both parents! In this video you will see Thunder arrive first with a fish and begin to feed it and then Akecheta lands with a fish and he begins to feed it. We have the entire family on the nest and a tandem feeding ♥

When Thunder is finished she flies off - AK finishes up - but then he is watching as Thunder is approaching the nest. The eaglets are tracking as well - he flies off and immediately Thunder arrives with fish #3!! They brought in 3 fish in 9 minutes!! She begins to feed this fish and Sterling will come around the side and begin to get bites. Sterling & Mom have a tug-o-fish tail moment at 13:16! Guess who wins? 😂 Sterling and down the hatch goes the tail!! Thunder than flies off - what a great job she and AK did! Thank you for watching!

Nest info: Eaglets WE1 (Koa), hatch 3/9 -3am; WE2 (Treasure), hatch 3/9 -7pm; WE3 (Sterling) 3/12 hatch by 4:10am; Thunder (F) 15 yrs old; Akecheta (M) (wing tag 61) 8 yrs old.

This eagle pair is a success story, part of a bald eagle restoration program started by the Institute for Wildlife Studies in 1980. Their nest has been active since 1991 and has been streaming live since 2005.
