Multi-layer Laminated Wood Knife Handles (68)
This is part one of a two part video series on the production of multi-layer laminate wood knife handles or scales. Various natural woods of different colors and contrasts are sliced to thicknesses between 0.010" and 0.100" thick on the band saw using the Accu-Slice System. Multiple layers of these woods of different colors and contrasts are then glued together to produce the multi-layered laminated boards. From these laminated boards the knife handles or scales were produced. This video describes the complete production of the knife handles including, cutting the wood strips, gluing the laminated boards, and then the cutting and contouring of the knife handles.
