Six Sided Celtic Ring Woodturning Projects - Part 1 - Single Rings (104)

In this video we will demonstrate the production of single ring 6-Sided Celtic Ring Patterns for woodturning projects. All of these projects are based on a 6 sided Celtic Ring Pattern which started with a 6 sided wood block.

The Accu-Facet System was used on a band saw to produce the 6-sided wood blocks for these projects. This system enables the production of thee 6-sided cylinders with accurate angles and sides on all faces of the blocks.

The Celtic Ring Pattern begins by slicing a single slot is each of the 6 sides of a wood block using the Accu-Slot system on a band saw. A thin wood insert of a contrasting color is then glued into the slots.

The projects are completed by woodturning the block on a lathe to produce a number of 6-sided Celtic ring pattern goblets.

The Accu-Facet System – The Accu-Facet System was developed to enable the slicing of multiple faces on blocks of wood on the band saw to produce multi-sided cylinders and also multi-faceted wood blocks. The resulting faceted blocks can be used to create some unique projects such as faceted wood desk clocks, lids for urns or vases and bases for other projects.
