One person has been killed and at least 14 people injured after an explosion at a metal factory in the Midwestern US state of Ohio. The blast sparked a major fire and sent shrapnel flying on February 20, 2023. The factory is about 112km (70 miles) northwest of East Palestine, another Ohio village where a train loaded with toxic chemicals derailed on February 3, forcing the evacuation of thousands of people.
