Tina Charles - Make The World Go Away (Alternate version) (1976)

The shortest of the three known cover versions of Make The World Go Away by session singer Tina Charles. I believe she is joined here by fellow session singer Martin Jay. A hit for Donny and Marie Osmond in 1975, this recording of Make The World Go Away appears on a Windmill cover version compilation called Sweet Sounds from 1976. I cannot locate the song title within Windmill's main series of cover version albums - Parade Of Pops - so it's possible this song was an unused track from the series or was bought in especially for this compilation. Either way, it's likely the song was recorded in 1975 when the hit record was current. A version of this song with the same running time does appear on other cover version albums from 1975, so it looks like this shorter version was already in use before its inclusion on Sweet Sounds. (Parade Of Pops faltered in July 1975, with no further release until January 1976. Only one more album then followed in the Windmill series.)
