The Philly Soul Corporation is an invented name, as all tracks are performed by session singers and studio musicians. One of those session singers is Tina Charles, who stands in for Gloria Gaynor to perform Never Can Say Goodbye and Reach Out, I'll Be There. Both these tracks appeared on cover version albums worldwide when the original songs were hits in 1975. Tina performed another version of Never Can Say Goodbye for the Top Of The Pops cover version album series, although the two tracks are virtually indistinguishable from one another! Tina also appeared anonymously on the first volume of Soul Music in 1975 with her version of Dirty Ol' Man, originally a hit for The Three Degrees: https://youtu.be/pVVGIWjnShA
