This video is an answer to a couple of questions I have received about the Tool Naming Conventions in the Tool Database in Vectric Cut2D Desktop, Cut2D Pro, VCarve Desktop, VCarve Pro, and Aspire, Version 10.0 and newer.

In this video, I’ll talk about some of the changes in the Vectric Tool Database, starting in Version 10.0, when Vectric introduced the new Tool Naming Conventions. I’ll show you why the convention is important by demonstrating the addition of a new tool to the database.

Then I’ll show you how to get in and edit that tool naming format to standardize the tools within a group, in order to make the addition of new tools easier. I’ll also show you some of the new variables you can add to the name format should you wish to do so.

As usual, if you have any comments or questions about anything I covered in this video, please join me for the Live Q&A, or put ‘em in the comment section below.

On Sunday, October 10th, I’ll be hosting a LIVE Q&A session, where you can ask your questions pertaining to anything I’ve covered in this video. That Q&A starts at 3 pm Eastern time, Noon Pacific time. Hope to see you there!
