The Ducati You've Never Heard Of - Monza 160 Part 2

ATTENTION - If you haven't seen part 1 of this video yet ( https://youtu.be/nx1XLM4vi0o ) I highly suggest that you watch it to gather all the info you need to be up to speed with this episode. This is NOT a restoration its getting a friends bike back into a rideable condition.

Anyway, In this episode i focus on getting the Monza Mechanically ready to hit the streets again although it probably wont be this year though as the biking season has well and truly ended in spectacular fashion but anyway the first job this time is to whip the carb off and get it stripped down to see what we are dealing with. To be honest once stripped down i was quite surprised how clean the inside was compared to what the outside looked like but appearances can be deceiving so into the ultrasonic cleaner it goes to make sure every passageway is clear, then it was simply a case of rebuilding it.

After building the carb it was a case of working through all the mechanical components making sure everything was still within tolerance, in spec, and not worn or broken so that means, tappets, gaskets, tyres, brake shoes, drums, springs, innner tubes, sprockets, chains, and of course a good service to ensure powerful and efficient running... oh and lets not forget the electrics this is a classic Ducati after all haha.

So after all that work the bike is looking better then it did before it arrived, running and sounding better and is 100% safe to hit the streets now so all's good and the owner is delighted with the bike and who knows maybe one day it will be back for a full restoration.

As usual i really hope you enjoy this series of videos and leave a like and a comment to let me know what you think.

Enjoy
