A soft-rock , Bubblegum genre , the song was released in 1970. It was first recorded by 'Tony Burrows' with Edison Lighthouse , later written by 'Tony Macaulay' and 'Barry Mason' and produced by Tony Macaulay under the label –‘Bell.’
The song reached no. 1 spot on the UK Singles Chart. It also became the first no.1 single of the 1970’s. It reached no. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and no.3 on the Canadian RPM Top Singles Chart & South Africa too. Currently the song has moved to Spotify US Top 200 chart.
