The book of James is one of the most controversial books of the Bible. Famously, Martin Luther once called it an "Epistle of Straw" and long before that, it was one of the "disputed books" of the New Testament Canon. So, what's it all about? What is there in the book of James that we can learn from? In this video we do a deep dive on the background of the book of James and its original context. Then, we explore three key ideas from the first chapter. We're looking at how to consider trials joy, how to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry, and we're exploring the importance of not just knowing stuff about God, but actually following Jesus.
