Kylo Ren Lightsaber DIY Cheap and Easy - Cardboard

Some recycled cardboard and a few bits of junk can be put together to make a cheap and easy Kylo Ren Lightsaber hilt. Had requests for this from Matthew, Abellew420, and it got the top vote on Instagram for which lightsaber I should post first. So here it is. The cardboard rolls I used are the kind you find in wrapping paper or household kitchen supplies like an aluminum foil roll. The "electrical wires" I used here was just an old cell phone charger cord that I painted and cut up. The interior workings of the lightsaber were just made of bits of junk. Everything from broken sewing machine needles to scrap pieces of candle wick. The more oddly-shaped the better. I also used craft foam in a few places on this lightsaber, because it's flexible, smooth, and easy to work with. But you can always substitute cardboard if you don't have craft foam.

MATERIALS USED:
2 cardboard rolls (one needs to be small enough to fit inside the other)
Utility knife
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Power-tac glue (https://amzn.to/2ixOyvy)
Random bits of junk
Chrome silver paint (https://amzn.to/2IadGGY)
Black paint
3mm craft foam
5mm craft foam
School glue (https://amzn.to/2DGICJe) and paint brush
Small diameter cardboard roll (for cross pieces)
Wires (mine was an old phone charger cord that I painted)
Blue and red paint if your wires aren't already colored

*** The materials listed above are the products I actually used for this project. I find that people often want to know exactly what I use, so I've started including exact links when I can find them. However, it's simply meant as a guide and you can substitute with whatever comparable brands/products you might have available in your own area. Also some of the links may be affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission from the company if a sale is made. It doesn't cost you any extra; it's just a simple way to help support my work on this channel. (I just figured, hey, as long as I was posting the links anyway, I might as well make them affiliate links)
