The Syllabary Cipher Explained
#cryptology, #cryptography, #cryptanalysis
The Syllabary cipher is a quite interesting hand cipher. It is a substitution cipher that not only allows to encrypt letters but also syllables and digits. Doing so, the text frequencies are lowered and word patterns are reduced. In this video, we explain how the cipher works and also use it in CrypTool 2 to encrypt and decrypt text.
