Under the Knife: The Operation Was a Success!
245 | OK, it wasn't exactly surgery. I had a tooth pulled in Quito and this is my story. No sensible person enjoys getting a tooth pulled. So you can imagine my reluctance to visit a dentist here in Ecuador even though I really needed to. Almost all of my medical adventures in the past 10 years or so have been outside the United States. All have been surprisingly satisfactory and enjoyable in a weird sort of way. In this video I make the case for long-term travelers having global health insurance coverage rather than the more popular but less effective travel insurance.
