Yoga For Weightlifters & Powerlifters: Complement Your Workouts & Boost Your Mobility!

Try this yoga for weightlifters and bodybuilders class! This 20 minute weightlifting mobility routine is great to compliment your work outs with. Whether that's powerlifting, crossfit, bodybuilding, or general exercise.

Quick note: I wouldn't recommend this before you workout. You are going to lengthen your whole body out here. It's good for after workouts and on your rest days.

BTW - If this is your first time here, Welcome! My name is Jason. And I provide adapted movement classes that are inspired by yoga. We also include more modern exercise biomechanics to enhance the effects. And assist with certain lifestyle patterns. Like resistance training!

So this is yoga for weightlifters, crossfitters, and powerlifters! Ultimately, it's a yoga class adapted to meet the needs of lifting. One that you can do to improve flexibility, and ultimately, mobility around your workouts.

Do this class frequently. It will unlock new ranges of motion that will dramatically improve how you move and feel in your body! Giving you enhanced neuromuscular coordination and functional stability. It will complement your weightlifting beautifully!

This yoga for weightlifting sequence in particular offers a great way to improve your mobility. And to enhance performance for your workout routines. Its dynamic movements will enable you to strengthen the deep connective tissue surrounding your joints. Alleviating aches and pains while filling in the blanks where lifting misses.

Seriously, who are your two favourite super heroes? That's strength-training and yoga. Together they provide a powerful adaptation on your body that will change the way you move and perform.

I'm telling you. Stick with it. You will see results in just weeks!

This yoga for weightlifters class will work through some isometric strengthening in the core, and then work into some straight arm scapular strengthening to "bulletproof" your shoulder joints and mitigate chances of weightlifting injuries.

Finally, we will do a little strengthening and lengthening of your lower back muscles. We all know how tight the posterior-chain can be after some heavy weightlifting sessions. This is going to feel great if you have any lower back issues.
