Yes, I've Gained Weight. Stop Asking. | Fitness Challenge Week One | Aja Dang
Hi. Yes, I've gained weight. No, it's not ok to ask people if they're pregnant. Got it?
I gained weight during quarantine - 10 lbs to be exact. And while this isn't the heaviest I've ever been, it's definitely the most uncomfortable I've ever been. So here we go trying to accomplish something positive during this really weird time.
Our fitness challenge is a 45 day challenge and includes working out and eating "clean". I'll be uploading a vlog every two weeks about my progress so stay tuned!
• OUR FAVORITE RECIPES FROM THIS WEEK •
Nutty Cinnamon Apple Porridge
1.2 oz rolled oats
1.2 fl. oz water
4.1 fl. oz milk
2 tsp honey
- simmer. once simmered add:
1.4 oz green apple
1/2 tsp cinnamon
- until oats are ready to eat, top with:
.7 oz walnuts + 1.4 oz bluberries
Green Goddess Dressing
1/2 c tahini
1/2 c evoo
3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 garlic cloves
1/4 c miso
- blend until smooth and creamy, then add:
1/4 c each of fresh parsley, cilantro, basil
1 scallion
1/2 tsp salt.
- blend until incorporated. Store in a fridge for up to one week

88 g softened cream cheese
60 g salsa verde
14 oz diced green chilis
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp chili powder
1.5 tsp salt
- combined into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan, then add:
86 g chicken tenderloins
1 can diced tomatoes, drained
180 g corn
- combine.sprinkle with:
14 g shredded Mexican cheese.
- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Broil for last 5 minutes if you want top more brown and bubbly. Top with avocado, pico, red onion, lettuce, cilantro, etc.
