MichelQ and RhondaK Channel Trailer
Hola! If you're new to our channel, welcome! We're a couple of expats trying to settle comfortably off-grid in Costa Rica. It's a process, and we're not there yet. Meaning we're neither comfortable nor off-grid, but we're working on it. For now, our videos are filled with lots of beautiful rainforest shots and cameos of our critters. This one, our channel trailer, is a sampling of various videos we've captured along the way. Eventually we'll move into homesteading content, tiny house and buslife content, and many other things we're sure will interest you. It's early days still, and you've come along at the right time to follow our journey from the beginning.
Michel and I made a decision in 2020 to break from our "legacy brand" home countries (the U.S. and France) and settle in Central America. We chose Costa Rica because of its microclimates, environmental awareness, developing infrastructure, as well as its political stability and good healthcare system. It seemed like a good place to re-imagine our lives away from urban chaos and the stress of nine-to-five demands. So we bought a 14-meter transit bus and began converting it to a tiny home on wheels, which we live in full time in the mountain rainforest near Turrialba. We make these videos and share them with the world in hopes that people will enjoy this beautiful land through our everyday experiences. Our animals are frequently in front of the lens; they are all rescues, some from the U.S., some from Morocco, and some from right here in Costa Rica. We love them all very much and they are part of our family.
