INTRODUCTION
In this video, I go for a ride on my bike through the Manchester city central south area to see what’s going on in terms of new construction and also renovation.

We start with the Old Fire Station, also known as London Road Fire Station. Nothing much seems to be going on at the moment, and I can’t find any up-to-date information.

Next we go to the nearby former UMIST campus to be rebranded as ID Manchester. A new student residence is under construction next to it. This area is going to be turned into a knowledge quarter.

There’s a new building on the construction on the Circle Square site near Oxford Rd. After a quick look at the MMU building next to the Mancunian Way, we pass by the gigantic project by Downing which they have called Square Gardens.

Finally we check out the progress of Vista River Gardens next to the River Irwell, part of Trinity Island.
