14 tips for Southeast Asia on a budget

How to backpack Southeast Asia on a budget. I went to Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia and I've consulted my travel journal to give you 14 of my best tips for cheap travel, and how you can travel Southeast Asia on a budget of £15/$20 a day.

I spent under £400 per a month in each of Indonesia and Vietnam, and a little more than that in Thailand and Malaysia. Basically you can spend £5 on food, £5 on transport and £5 on a bed per night and you're laughing. This includes some days where you spend nothing on transport and some days where you spend £20, it averages out.
