Backpacking Solo In South East Asia at 18 | My 2020 Gap Year

For my Gap year, I worked half of it at Sainsbury's and then travelled South East Asia for 3 months. I visited 6 different countries before it was time for me to head home due to COVID-19.

FAQ
• When did you travel?
I left on Boxing Day (26th) 2019 and came back
in the middle of March 2020.

•How old were you?
18 years old.

•Your inspiration to travel
A lot of things! But definitely @UnJadedJade on YouTube helped me to see myself doing this. Watch her collection of travel videos, they’re really inspiring!!

•How did you earn the money to travel?
I’ve worked since I was 16 and saved most of my money in a savings account. In college I worked at Sainsburys part-time but I did a lot of overtime so I could pay my own bills and put money to the side.

•How much did it cost? / How much did you take?
Not including my flight to Singapore for nye (£508)
And my other flight to Krabi. I took just under £4,000.

Bare in mind, it does not include costs like pre paid Travel Insurance (A MUST!), Visas, Injections, Backpack, and some pre paid hostels etc.

•What did you use to film this?
My iPhone 8 Plus! :D a very good camera!!

Note to friends: PLZ don't roast me for my orange and yellow hair, I knew it was TERRIBLE with my dark tan and it was truly awful. DONT REMIND ME:(
