16-year-old dies from injuries suffered in north Charlotte crash

A 16-year-old who was seriously injured in a crash in north Charlotte earlier this month has died from her injuries, police say.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a head-on collision along West Sugar Creek Road near the intersection with West W.T. Harris Boulevard just before 9 a.m. on Jan. 3. When officers arrived, they determined a Toyota Yaris driven by 16-year-old Comfort Antwi crossed the center line and hit a BMW X3.
