Harris or Rice: Either way, Joe Biden’s running mate will be a 'weak candidate'

Both of the front runners to be named Presidential candidate Joe Biden’s running mate are “very weak candidates” with one likely to annoy the Left, and the other to annoy the centrists, according to Sky News host James Morrow.

Vice President Biden is likely to announce his running mate within the next week, after backtracing on his initial deadline of August 1.

While there are numerous people on his shortlist to be his running mate, it is widely believed California Senator Kamala Harris, or former National Security Advisor Susan Rice will be picked.

Mr Morrow said Senator Harris would really “upset the woke progressive Left” due her previous career as a public prosecutor.

While Ms Rice was “very much involved” in the Clinton administration where she was the UN Ambassador.

“Both of these are very weak candidates,” Mr Morrow told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“One will annoy the Left, one will annoy centrists who would have been on Trump’s side.”
