SkillsFuture Short Course @ Temasek Poly, Practical Essential CAD

Computer Aided Design software, CAD is an important tool for developing 3D models. CAD, 3D Design, Animation and Simulation are gaining traction in recent years especially with the increasing adoption of immersive technology by the industry such as medical, additive manufacturing, games, advanced manufacturing and metaverse. Learning how to design and create 3D models is crucial to the development of these animation and visualizations.
Practical Essential CAD is designed to equip the participants with the fundamentals of developing 3D models, reading technical drawing, creating assembly and animation. No pre-requisite is needed as long as the participants has the necessary computer literacy. With the CAD skills, the participant would be able to design their own models, produce 3D assembly and animation. They could even proceed to attend 3D printing CET courses.
Practical Essential CAD is a 3 days course. Targeted participants are technicians, shop floor supervisor, engineers from other fields beside mechanical, 3D printing hobbyists and designers from other industry such as commerce, media, IT, transport, aviation, interior design, civil and architecture.
