Djosefin Maurer-Soto lost her job during the COVID-19 pandemic, but discovered a passion for baking. She now runs Black Forest Bakery LA in her Los Feliz home with her wife, Marie. Her specialty is sourdough loaves – a reminder of her childhood in Germany.
