Alphaman (PC) - Chef Bot Stage - #1 [Mega Man-like]

Another game heavily inspired by Mega Man. The graphics aren't very eye-catching, but it was a surprise. It's pretty good. I only like the 4 bosses, but it's pretty good with some interesting mechanics.

Here, the charged shot is the special weapon. You start with 1 (the blade attack) and then get 4 more. If you use it as a charged shot, you don't use up any special bar, but if you use the special shot button, you do use up the bar. A very interesting dynamic that allows you to use special shots without fear of wasting your bar. And you can even upgrade this bar with a secret collectible in all 4 initial stages.

Another surprise is that it has a dash and a wall jump.

I'd like to see these developers make another, bigger Mega Man style. Instead, they're making a visual novel dating sim with monster girls... there's a harpy girl so I'll let it pass.
