This hand-pulled cable car at Timang Beach may look like it’s built by a mad scientist, but it’s actually used by local lobster fishermen to get to the tiny island on the other side!

1. Timang Beach is a bit of an adventure to reach! It’s far from the city, so you’ll need a private driver. The final part of the journey is a fun but bumpy jeep ride since the roads are too rough for cars. 🤟

2. Your driver can help you get tickets/arrange the jeep ride!

3. Bring lots of sunscreen and water — it’s hot and has no shade here!

4. There’s really yummy local seafood nearby so ask your driver to take you after your adventure 😋

5. The cable car ride isn’t cheap - it’s about SGD 17 for a 30 second ride! But if you make a day out of it with the jeep ride and the seafood feast, it’s quite a fun adventure!
