Sweet memory! Blindfold cane challenge with my nine-year-old Georgianna!

Oh my goodness,I stumbled blindly upon this precious video in my Camera app on my iPhone from a few years ago. No, I don’t obviously use my eyes to watch videos, or to navigate my iPhone, but through my voiceover accessibility software on my iPhone I was able to hear how sweet this was as I watched through listening. In this video my baby Georgianna was doing a blindfold white cane challenge with me! How sweet 💜 through this challenge my Georgi was able to truly get a small glimpse into mommy’s world. In Georgianna‘s words, “it’s not as easy as it looks“!

I believe with all my heart my complete blindness has made me into a better mom and has given my daughters a more beautiful perspective on life and has truly influenced them in the most positive way forever!

For those of you who are wondering, I have been completely blind in both eyes since Georgianna was two and Isabella was five. My Georgianna only knows Blind mommy, and she doesn’t see me any different from any other mom. Yes, my girls know I use a guide dog and white cane to navigate through life, and of course I see through all of my other senses instead of with my eyes, but my girls know their mommy is still capable of doing anything I set my mind to. Blind mommy is still mommy! 💛
