"Object 268" is a Soviet experimental heavy anti-tank self-propelled artillery system (SPAS) that was developed from 1952 to 1956 based on the T-10 heavy tank. It was not mass-produced. By the time "Object 268" was tested, the British Chieftain main battle tanks and the American M60 tanks had been developed and put into mass production, and the SPAS's firepower was insufficient to effectively combat them. Therefore, the vehicle was not adopted for service, and all work on it was stopped.
