Due to saving money every month by living rent free / mortgage free, we decided it was time to invest in our first rental property. Since the Italy real estate auction went so well for us the first time, we decided to invest in part of a 4-plex in Lombardy Italy. Paying cash for real estate in the real estate auctions saves us money that would typically go to paying the notary in a regular Italian real estate transaction. Doing it ourselves also saves us money by not using a real estate agent in the transaction.
