I Finally Used My Brain + The Logistics Chain Actually Worked (For Once) | Whiskerwood | E03
Whiskerwood is a strategy management simulation about logistics, worker assignment, production chains, tax pressure, and colony optimisation, and this time I actually approached it like I had a plan. With housing, mining, food supply, resource flow, and expansion all needing to stay balanced, this run finally started to feel like a real management sim instead of a public systems failure.
After the absolute disaster of the last run, I came back pretending this was episode one and immediately started making smarter decisions.
Trade dock placement made sense, warehouse placement made sense, the mining route made sense, and for the first time on this channel I was expanding like someone who had at least briefly met the concept of logistics.
We kept the housing under control, got mining online early, stayed on top of taxes, and actually thought about carry distance before throwing workers into the wilderness and hoping for the best.
Which of course means I immediately built the wrong production building anyway, because growth and competence are apparently only allowed in small doses.
Still, this colony is finally doing what it’s supposed to do:
resources are moving, food planning is coming together, the economy is stabilising, and the production chain is starting to look like something other than a spectacular administrative crime scene.
Next step is research, schools, expanded industry, and eventually the automation dream: better logistics, better efficiency, bigger mines, and me trying not to derail the whole thing the second it starts going well.
